1. There are two designs of clips fitted to the DC41 and DC43 models as Dyson revised them halfway through production, this is the latest model’s design, which fits all of the DC41 & DC43 models, If you have an older machine this is the later design, which fits all variants.
2. Do NOT FIT ON DC33, DC40 & DC50 models – Although these look similar to release clips on other models, they are NOT. Please do not buy these hoping to fit them on a DC33, DC40, DC50 etc., as they will not fit.
3. Both parts must be replaced – requires some knowledge & experience as it is not an easy task
