Mounted Antique Bronze Buddhist Arm Fragment from Thailand

Description

This is an elegantly mounted Antique Bronze Arm fragment from Thailand.  The item was originally purchased in Bangkok in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang Malaysia at the time.  The arm fragment was purchased in the well-established Antique district of Bangkok in the area bordered by Silom Road and Surawong Road.  I am unsure of the age of this piece and well as what period it is associated with; but estimate however that it is well over 150 years old.  Please note the intricate detail of the armband.

Arm Fragment Dimensions: 2 inches wide, 5 inches high with depth of 1 3/4 inches.  Height of the Fragment including the wood base is 6 3/4 inches.  Weight: 10.5 ounces.
