Bali Sculpture Balinese Wood Carved Statue Woman Bust Figure Lady
A beautiful and skillfully carved Balinese lady head and bust sculpture.  Very well executed with fine hair strands. Finely chiseled facial features and an excellent chosen piece of wood. Polished and very appealing. She’s 10 inches tall and 4 5/8th wide. This little lady was carved from the undisputed world capital of artistic woodcarving, Bali, Indonesia. In ancient times the Bali sculptures depicted religious works. Today, woodcarving has become a flourishing export industry an each carving is unique. Most carvings are made of Albacia wood, one of the fastest growing trees in the entire world. It takes only 2 or 3 years to grow 40 feet tall an it can be found all over Indonesia. Its amazing growth rate makes the Albacia tree Bali’s number one weed as well as one of its greatest resources.
