Antique Primitive Thai Wood Guardian Figure

This is an Antique Thai Primitive Wood Guardian Figure with looped metal hook and intricate detail
.  This whimsical piece was purchased in Thailand in the late 1960’s / early 1970’s by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang, Malaysia at the time.  The figure is made of very lightweight wood – perhaps Sandalwood that has lost it’s well known & long-lasting scent.  I estimate the figure dates from the early portion of the 20th Century.  It appears to have been made to hang from a piece of rope or perhaps twine.
Please review the pictures closely in regards to the overall condition of this figure.  There is a chip on the front & back corner of the base as well as on the tip of the tail otherwise the piece is in Good Condition.
Dimensions: 1 inch wide at the base, 7 1/2 inches high with a depth of 2 inches.
